ABC News: Pesticide exposure in womb may hurt your child's IQ
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (CBS) -Prenatal exposure to pesticides can have a direct effect on your child's IQ.
Researchers at Berkeley followed more than 300 childrenfrom before they were born until they were 7. They found that a tenfold increase in pesticide exposure during pregnancy translated into a 5 and a half point drop in the child's IQ scores.
Researchers recommend limiting home use of pesticides, thoroughly washing fruits and vegetables and buying organic food.
